MATT RECOGNISED IN DIAMOND PHD INVESTIGATOR AWARD

Congraulations to 3rd year DPhil Matt Cliffe, who has been selected as runner up in this year’s Diamond PhD Investigator Award on the basis of his work towards our recent Nature Communications paper on correlated defects in UiO-66(Hf).

In the judges’ own words:

“[We] were very impressed by the fact that [Matt] took on a difficult challenge, gave the problem a great deal of thought and, due to a great deal of determination on [his] part, obtained excellent results. In addition, [he] helped to expand the capabilities of Diamond’s I15 beamline.”

Matt receives a £300 cash prize and his work is to be highlighted by Diamond. Congratulations Matt!
