Emily joined the Goodwin group in December 2015 as an early-career Research Fellow, funded by the Marie Curie European Training Network DEFNET. She completed her PhD at the University of Sydney where she studied structure-property relationships of uranium and technetium-containing oxides. During this time Emily spent a few months in the group that were so enjoyable that she was delighted at the opportunity to return to the world of disorder.
Emily works on understanding various types of disorder in framework materials using single-crystal and powder X-ray diffraction techniques, and specialises in expressing genuine enthusiasm with a moderate Australian accent.
