jahJosh is a fourth-year DPhil working on transition metal dicyanometallates. He is answering questions such as ‘what kind of structures can be made with a nanoscale linker?’, ‘do dicyanometallate perovskites show tilt transitions?’, and ‘where did all that diffuse scattering come from?’.

Josh has been a College Lecturer in Inorganic Chemistry at St Catherine’s College since 2013 and was awarded a Light Senior Scholarship at the college in the same year.

After writing up, Josh will move to the Courtauld Institute of Art to train in conservation of wall painting.
