Sarah joined the group in September to do her Part II. And will be working with Mark Senn on the synthesis and analysis of negative thermal expansion Ruddlesden Popper oxide structures. Asking, what is it that causes some of these structures to shrink when heated and others not to? And how can we fine tune these properties using this information?
Sarah is at St. John’s College. Outside of the lab, she enjoys rowing and baking and is involved with the Oxford-based charity Giving What We Can. Sarah is also hoping to take up Powerlifting and Rugby this year.
